Hahahaha. Name check! :-D

I LOVED it. What I loved about it was the sweetness. There's something very warm and safe and snuggly about it, full of friendship and, weirdly, healing. It felt like Barney was being given a brief port in the storm, like his greatest wishes come true, before he has to face the stark reality of being a Dad.

I loved how sweet and almost innocent Barney was that his friends really DO love him and wanted to make him happy. I totally called the secret party on the roof of course, Ted was way too obvious. ;-) But I also loved Ted's thought process about why Barney and Robin brokeup.

Bloody awesomeness cancelling out. Of course not!

Great stuff. Now bring on the pain. ;-)

Yours was the only review I got on the last chapter, so... :)

I have to say, there isn't going to be much pain in this. To make up for that, I'm working on a heavy-heavy-angst story in a way I haven't written before. So if that gets done, you'll get pain ;)

I seriously wish they'd have a party for Barney, though. Ted's gotten a surprise party twice. Barney should have one. (And yeah, I figured it was obvious, but the point was that Barney didn't get it *g*).

I actually like how warm and snuggly this is. It makes a change from the unrelenting angst fests I normally read. :-)

And don't get too disheartened about the lack of many comments. It's not a reflection at all on the quality of your work.

I just think HIMYM fandom has shrunk hugely, and people just don't comment any more. It's VERY sad. :-(

There are times when warm and snuggly is so much nicer than angst. Angst is lovely, but sometimes one needs a blankie instead ^^

I know people read and don't comment - I'm one of them (though I've gotten better lately, because I know how much I appreciate comments). I just like feedback as much as the next person :)

And I'm thinking that has to do with the show's quality, rather than with the quality of the fanstuff produced, because the fanstuff is great where the show... isn't. To put it mildly.

Yeah, unfortunately the show has slipped so far into bald, mainstream humour with little or no depth that it just doesn't attract a livejournal following like it used to and it doesn't inspire as much passion.

Very sad, but true.
