2009 meme
1. What did you do in 2009 that you'd never done before?
Started "basår", which means I'm studying high school level subjects again ^^ Chemistry, physics, biology and math - all in preparation for med school.
I started aikido and took 6th kyu in that.
I went to Dubai.
2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
I don't make new years resolutions. This year, I have plans and hopes - getting into med school - but as it's something I can't control much (other than writing a 2.0 on Högskoleprovet), so I can't do it as a resolution.
3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
...nope. But two friends are pregnant.
4. Did anyone close to you die?
No, thankfully.
5. What countries did you visit?
England, United Arab Emirates, Denmark.
6. What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009?
A ticket to med school.
7. What date from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Don't know if etched is the right word, but on June 13th I got my Master of Law.
8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
Master of Law, definitely. Though I won't use it (that I know of at the moment), it's still very cool to have.
9. What was your biggest failure?
Nothing.
10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Had some problems with my calves for a while, but that wasn't serious. So nope.
11. What was the best thing you bought?
Uh... I might (or not) get back to you on that.
12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
Master of Law :) Also, I turned 25. But I'm not sure that merits celebration.
13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
No one in particular. People disappoint me sometimes, but no more than I disappoint them, I'm sure.
14. Where did most of your money go?
Food, rent, just like last year.
15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Dubai, just because I hadn't seen the sun in a few months... Also, I was very excited about seeing Britney live again.
16. What song will always remind you of 2009?
Circus, Britney Spears. Not just because I love the song, but because I went to see the Circus Tour live in Copenhagen this summer.

i. happier or sadder? I was pretty happy last year as well, so I think I'm about the same.
ii. thinner or fatter? The same.
iii. richer or poorer? About the same, I think.
18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Last year's answer was 'being happy', and I guess that'd have been a good idea. I was a bit depressed over the summer.
19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Be depressed over the summer. Stupid way to spend my free time ^^
20. How will you be spending/did you spend Christmas?
I spent it in the United Arab Emirates with my family.
21. Did you fall in love in 2009?
Nope. Well, slightly with Barney (How I met your mother), but that's one of my many fannish loves and doesn't really count *g* Also, friendish love, yes. But not "real" the-world-is-pink kind of falling in love.
22. What was your favorite TV program?
Unfortunately, both House and NCIS have been wavering, so... At the moment, How I met your mother. But I still love NCIS quite a bit.
23. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
No. I try not to hate.
24. What was the best book you read?
Same as last year: Haven't read any great books, but lots of fantastic fanfic.
25. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Again, literally musical: High School Musical. *g* Judge me, but I really enjoyed the stupidity of it. Can I have this dance has to be one of the songs I listened to most this year, despite Vanessa Hudgens' nasal voice.
26. What did you want and get?
Accepted to basåret. Which wasn't any surprise at all.
27. What did you want and not get?
Nothing that I can remember.
28. What was your favorite film of this year?
Up, probably. It was lovely.
29. What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you?
I turned 25 (...sigh?). I spent it with my friends and family and had dinner at my parents' (with friends). Was very nice :) And warm and sunny for the 26th year in a row *g*
30. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
Knowing that I'd get into med school and that all the work I'm currently putting in would be rewarded. As it is, I'm fairly certain I'll get in, but not 100%.
31. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2009?
I gave away four bags of clothes yesterday, with clothes dating all the way back to my high school days. So... old? *g* But I mostly do jeans and t-shirts, so it's neither fashionable nor terribly un-fashionable.
32. What kept you sane?
Sanity is definitely overrated.
33. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
Neil Patrick Harris *g*
34. What political issue stirred you the most?
The climate. Sigh. Can't we just agree on saving the planet, instead of doing fiascoes such as Copenhagen? Also, gay marriage. Needs to be allowed everywhere now.
35. Who did you miss?
No one. Everyone's been home and around.
36. Who was the best new person you met?
Sofie. Because she's lovely ^^
