That AU...omg.

piwrit_queen and I are writing something so similar it's eerie. *laughs* She needs to come online RIGHT NOW so I can tell her there's a hive mind thing going on!

So will you be unhappy if I decide to go with that as my idea for the NCIS big bang? I don't mean to steal anyone's ideas 0_0 :)

As of now, we've been mostly just writing it back and forth and weren't sure if we were going to post it - if we did, it would be along the same lines as weighted_scales (posting scenes to an LJ specifically for that 'verse) and not really submitting it to any sort of contest.

Our concept started on two 'what if?'s:

What if Gibbs hadn't joined NCIS after Shannon and Kelly died, and gone into bodyguard/personal security work instead?

What if Tony had followed in his father's footsteps and become a semi-ruthless businessman, who was then forced by the Board of Directors to hire security when he hit his thirties?

And kind of spiraled from there.

I'd love to see what you'd do with whatever concept you had in mind. It's not a big deal to me, though if we do decide to post what we've done, I may add a disclaimer that our concepts were conceived independently to make sure we're not stepping on your toes :)

Oh, NCIS Big bang isn't a contest - it's just a challenge to write a story that's 20 000 words or more :)

But that sounds good - even if we have the same general idea, fics always turn out so very differently in the hands of different authors :)

Sounds good to me! I envy authors who can write such long fics - I can't seem to go over the 1500-word mark without just ending things :)

Good luck with the bigbang!
