I just got back from Disneyland!! First-timer! California Adventure just didn't quite count. Neither did twelve-thousand little kid adventures to Disney World whilst growing up in Florida. It was absolutely amazing and magical. During the last part of a show called "Fantasmic", I just started bawling. ALL of the princesses and princes and other assorted Disney characters were on a steamboat on the river dancing and singing and I just started crying. It actually was the happiest place on earth. Siiiigh.
One thing I noticed: Disneyland is one word; Disney World is two. Go figure. But I met Crush the sea turtle from Finding Nemo (he talked to me and called me Jamaican Jill!!) and I held Wall-e's hand. I rode every ride that I wanted to and explored Pirate Island (and met Captain Jack!). I acted like a little kid all day; it was truly blissful. I think that considering the grown up state of mind I have been living in for the past few months, this trip was really good for me. It's a beautiful thing. I ate junk food and didn't care how much money I spent and loved loved loved every minute of it! I want to be Snow White. I think I could do it. Spend a summer working at Disney.
Castle!
