You bring up so many good points to discuss, I don't know where to begin.

Here in LA, it's pretty quiet in the Latinx/black communities for LGBTQIA issues and pride. I think many are afraid to come out. I was hoping when Lil Nas came out, it would encourage others to feel safe coming out. I think that eventually, it will become safer. But right now, there's a lot of plates spinning. Locally, there's a DA race that Black Lives Matter is very active about, and I think many are wringing hands over the presidential race and census work. The biggest obstacle is getting rights and housing for homeless. It's pretty bleak.

That grander suggestion for your improv game is such a good one. I make similar suggestions to my students with their music. Imagination is a powerful tool, and it seems that students are discouraged from using it to the fullest. Good work!

Please keep up the good hard work you're doing. We definitely need to work locally, and I really appreciate the vision you've illustrated in your piece.

Sorry this was long winded.
