a new journey
i have officially moved into my new studio apt and getting ready to meet people and start med school. it's a bit strange because even though i'm not far from home, i kinda want that same distance i had when i was going to cornell. maybe that's just because i don't want my family to distract me. and my family can be very distracting, at times.
today i went out to the financial aid office to prove to them that i'm an american citizen. then i went to rite aid to buy some food... yeah, it's weird, but i bought food from rite aid. and then i just watched a whole bunch of dexter. i couldn't continue once it got darker. :/ so then i decided, maybe i should call up the one person who was nice enough to friend me and give me his number. it turned out to be a good choice because i met a bunch of first year students and hung out with them for a while. i think we're still all very relaxed since school hasn't started yet, but i'm interested to see who's gonna be the ones that freak out and need to hole up in their room.
if had my way, i would totally be playing guitar hero or rock band. but unfortunately, i don't have my way. :(
and obviously, i've resolved the whole not having internet nonsense by getting my own ethernet cable. cornell was way too good to me and i never had to get an ethernet cable my entire time there.
EDIT: so even though i said i was all set medical school-wise, i was actually lying, although i didn't know it at that time. i've since been accepted into another school and i'm going to said school instead. why? because it's nyu. :P
