I found a boy with your smile
Sends the same chill across the surface of my body
When all I hear is his laugh
It breaks me like a wave of phantoms
I remember I was hanging on your back because you gave me a piggy back ride and your laughs were tumbling as we stumbled along the dusk toward your house and I thought maybe this was love because we’re so beautiful when we’re together and you’re so impulsive and oh god your laugh made me feel like I was floating even though I actually was because I was still hanging from your back and back then I was so brittle and so bashful and so anxious of taking anything more than the noises of my footsteps with me and I swear I didn’t know I was secure enough to hang on for as long as I lived but I promise I could hang onto you through anything and everything if I was still on your back and you were drenched with sweat and you’re still laughing.
4:26 a.m.
Sitting on the couch in front of the window
My phone regenerates your laugh
I was prepared and ready to let it relax in harmony
But your laugh had an unconventional plan for me
