Hello all. Long time no post.
Life been a little hectic lately with school and clinic.
But I'm almost done! I have one exam tomorrow, and then 2 exams and 2 practicals next week, and then ... freedom! Well, for 2 weeks anyways. These last few weeks have been crazy. They've really been heaping it on. Plus, working in clinic on weekends has greatly reduced my free time and traveling time to come back home and see friends.
But that's almost done too! My remaining clinic time for this term is on saturday from 10am-7pm, and then next friday from 4pm-9pm. Then it'll really feel like freedom! I'm just really glad chris and rachel were able to come by for a few hours on monday since they're moving to chicago in a matter of days and I probably wont be able to see them again before then. How sad. Rachel is one of my best friends and now I'll need to take a train to see her instead of just driving an hour. Boo. But I'm really excited for her because her school sounds awesome and I know she's going to do great out there. Yay rutt.
Speaking of Chicago ... Matt's going there tomorrow (thursday) morning for a conference where he gets to present his research to the head and neck society (that's the kind of cancer he's researching) and see all other sorts of things, plus he'll get to see Pam (sister) and some other friends like Ben Lawless. It should be a good time - too bad I'll be stuck here. The real bummer is, I just found out that I dont even have to go to class tomorrow. And I still need to drive Matt to my school at 8:30am because that's where they planned to meet in the morning for greatest convenience. Oh well ... I'd need to go to school sometime tomorrow anyways to take my exam in the computer lab. I guess I'll just do it bright and early. So much for sleeping in ...
Matt's also submitting one of his latest homebrews to the sam adams "long shot" homebrew competition, where the winner gets $5000 and sam adams makes their beer for a while and sells it in regular stores. Crazy, eh? I doubt we'll win because there's 100's of people entering, but it's fun to dream. $5000 would be rather handy. Plus it'd be sweet to have his beer in stores all over.
I think that's about all for now. I should get back to studying muscles. 10 points to anyone who can name the 6 lateral rotators of the hip, and the origin, insertion, and action of ... hm ... we'll go with semitendonosis. fun.
Love and puppy dogs.
