Well break was lovely, and though it felt rather too short, it actually feels kinda good to be back at school again - shocking, I know. I think everything is just happier because it's summer time. All that lovely sunshine and warmth. I do much better with everything when it's sunny and warm. Or even stormy and warm, like today. Some like it hot, I guess.
Highlights of break were being little kids with Hilly and Rutt - aka riding bikes, eating ice cream, and playing video games; being dorky with Rutt - lotr, jane austen, and otherwise; and having the Fowlers come visit for the weekend. That was tons o' fun. We saw some live Irish music, wandered through downtown for summerfest, walked through the arboretum, and layed by the pool. A rather lovely time indeed. I also drew a picture for my dad for father's day which turned out fantabulously. It was of him holding me as an infant, and of us dancing at the wedding. He absolutely loved it. My mom and Baba (grandma) even teared up a bit. Go me. And of course, being able to spend some time with my wonderful husband!
Now it's back to school, and this term is supposed to be even crazier and more fast-paced than the last! sigh. Oh well, I guess. It's just a good thing that I truly enjoy it. Otherwise I might go insane. On a side note, Andrea made me a picture frame with a picture of us being "bananas" in class! It's absolutely adorable. If you're really curious, it's nothing all that crazy - it's just always f'ing freezing at school and we wrap up in these big ol' yellow blankets so that only our heads and feet are sticking out when we're sitting in lecture. :) Fun times. We're B1 and B2.
I have to start clinic soon, and I'm vaguely terrified. Andrea said she was about ready to throw up on her first day she was so nervous - but luckily her first client was this adorable little lady who was apparantly one of the sweetest beings on the face of the planet. Hopefully my first day goes as well as hers did. Eep.
That's really about all. I still need to find some random, shitty part time job, even though I'll probably be ridiculously busy this term, especially with clinic on top of all the increased studying and tests. Being poor kinda sucks sometimes. Oh well, we still have our fun.
Oh, one last thing - I have devious plans to hook up two of my friends. Mwahaha. Let's just see if I can be in Lansing and get them to meet in a non-obvious set-up type manner ... hmmm. Tricky. Yet fun. We'll see I suppose!
Okay all. Time for me to do something real for a while.
s'yaaaaa...
