Merlin 3x10 Reaction Post (with GIFs!)

Nov 14, 2010 00:15

I have not seen everyone else's reaction, so forgive me if there is repetition.  Also, this thing is GIF heavy, and all gifs/caps were made by me.  But this reaction post?  It is not a game.

I don't need to tell you there are spoilers all up and down this mug, do I? )

*flails* This episode has ended my life. No, seriously, nothing can get any better than the two of them and how epically epic they are. Arthur Pendragon owns my heart for life, and Gwen is the only woman in the world I would share him with. 'Tis final.

OTP OF THE UNIVERSE.

I'm firmly OT3 because Shipper!Merlin must be there and he's almost more protective of Gwen than Arthur is.

But seriously...WHERE WAS ELYAN?!

Someone suggested that he might be out of town at a smithy convention.

I'mma go with that. If I write fic (I probably will) he met Mahmoud and is bringing him back yes. I like that explanation.

I agree with everything here. I loved this episode despite the lack of Elyan and continuity errors because of the switch up. It was a fan girl's dream!! I swear the writers must read all our LJ stories and collective squeeing.

I am glad I am not the only one who almost died over Gwen's hand placement during the picnic kiss. I just kept thinking that Arthur is so beefy and delicious. Of course Gwen would want to climb all over that! Also, his slinking sexily behind the pillar in the last A/G scene was too hot. Gwen was all sorts of fierce too. I don't see why anyone thinks she is a DiD. She kept it together here and did not expect to be saved. Arthur is the one who went totally postal ( as he should). I loved her speaking the truth to Uther. I mean, homeboy is set on setting you on fire, best to speak your mind.

As to Morgs and Uther--I agree. Those bitches gotta die.

Really, what did Gwen have to lose at the point when she told Arthur off? I seriously whooped it up.

Uther has to die. He hit her. OMG if Arthur ever finds out he hit Gwen...no amount of Merlin interference is going to stop him from killing his father. #truestory

Gwen really kept it together. She shed a few tears and then straightened up that spine and said "I'm ready for whatever." I love Angel. And she STILL had enough to smile in that scene with Merlin when she's like "I have nowhere to go", but I'mma give Merlin a smile who he won't worry for me. WHAT? I love her. I love Angel. I love my OT3.

Was this episode supposed to come before 3x06 or something?

I think it was after 3.07 maybe. Definitely before The Eye of the Phoenix where she was suspicious enough of Morgs to spy and after Castle of Freyian where she still trusted Morgs somewhat and had no idea who dimed them out.

The only reason why I placed it before 3x07 was because I thought it had been established Gwen...."liked" Arthur to his knowledge. She all but said it in 3x06 when she's like "we can't be together"; so for Arthur to be all shocked was "the hell?" to me. Oh, and because of the UTTER LACK OF ANY ELYAN MENTION! I mean, even if Elyan were away, Gwen could've reference her brother!

I'm...actually really upset by the lack of an Elyan mention. At least during the first time, we can assume Tom came to see her offscreen because he'd been present. This was just, where the hell was he?

Someone needs to write fic, dammit.

The HORRENDOUS lack of Elyan is the one thing that didn't make this episode and all-out aria. But I got like mere HOURS of sleep and I'm about to watch it again. Yes, it i s that deep! *snuggles this ep*

Basically you said everything I said at Camelot love and during my squee fest with another user. I was like it was about the hand touching early in the ep and most definitely Guin taking liberties with Arthur's stomach. I was like...ugh..the facial expression won't come up. Crap. Anyway -_-....into Oo. Loved it.
