We have data collection with algorithms and cookies that allow advertisers the shoes I looked at briefly last week to follow me around the internet. We have customer records that let you (and the company) to look back at all the things youve ordered in the last however long and credit card cross indexing databases so looking at those shoes leads to shopping spam/email from the last vendor of those shoes you purchased from. From a data management perspective its really quite impressive, though personally a little wearying to keep seeing those shoes everytime I click through to another site with google ads. If those shoes must follow me around the internet, is it really so hard a tweak for the algorithm to check that they come in my SIZE?
there's a reason I didn't buy them after the first visit, you know.
