Roxana Jad McVEY Anderson 87, died Saturday at the home of her caregivers under care of the Hospice of the Florida Sun coast. She moved here in 1977 from her native East Liverpool, Ohio, where she graduated from East Liverpool School and was a member of the East Liverpool Alumni Association. She was a former employee of the New York Stock Exchange and the State Theater in Liverpool. She was Catholic and a homemaker. Survivors include a stepson, Gary Anderson, a stepdaughter, Judy Parker, Annandale, 6 step grandchildren, 7 step great-grandchildren,and 2 god daughters.
This was my god mother and I was named after her. When I found out yesterday that she had passed, I can't even describe the feeling I had. She was more than just a god mother to me. She saved me from my dad a few times. I don't have anything of hers to carry on except her spirit. I love you Jad I'll miss you terribly.
