Wanted/Needed ::: Manager/Liaison/Agent/Advocate/Thingy
You see I have been, am, and will continue to be an artist until I ... die most likely.
I'm mostly a musician, but do other work with pastels, paints and computer graphic stuff and whatever else I might get into. Mostly a musician.
However, I am one of those artist who needs ... no, requires someone to take my work away form me and do the business stuff. You know, listen and look at my stuff and ... do something with it, while keeping me busy making more. Help decide what is good, what is sellable, what is needs more work, what I need to stop working on, because it is done, etc.
Set up recordings sessions, practices, shows, business stuff. Handle the money and put it all where it needs to go (pay the bills,etc) The shit that when I try to do it, bad things happen. Like, never getting anything done, and in the process of not anything done I don't get any art done at all either.
I am serious. I believe I have talent and an interesting body of work ; I just don't know what to do with it. And, I know there are people out there that are really good at doing these sorts of things. I need one. I tried to get my wife to do it, you know, sorta a Chris and Sue thing, but she wasn't down.
I don't think paying someone like, 20% is bad. I'd mean like, 20% of everything I do and create. I need guidance, organization, and to get connected by someone who fancies themselves connected.
I don't want to end up a dead artist with people discovering my work and declaring it great or whatever only to be ... you know, dead.
So, if anyone out there might be interested in attempting this sort of thing, let me know. I'm not expecting to become rich and famous but I (we) do, well that would be ideal. BUt if we can at least make enough money to be happy and continue creating art while growing this business who knows what might happen.
That's the whole point ... who knows what it might become.
And at least it might be a hell of a good time trrying.
