Updates
Sunday night (if I remember correctly): My first attempt at using the oven. Result: Successful!! I "baked" garlic bread (bought from Food 4 Less) at 400 degree Fahrenheit at 20 mins. It was mmm mmm good!!
Monday night: My first attempt at baking anything from scratch & 2nd attempt ever at using the oven. Result: Success. I made butter mochi...it was alright...I think I know what to do to make the end result better. My roommates and friends tried some...they all told me that it "wasn't bad" or was "pretty good". Remember, butter mochi DOES NOT look regular Japanese mochi (it looked more like pound cake--although it shouldn't taste like pound cake), but also has a chewy middle.
Tuesday night: Third pre-rush event for Rho Pi Phi: Broomball (kinda like hockey except with tennis shoes). It was at the Oak Park Ice Rink on Alpine. We had a pretty good turnout. Gary from Fall Conference (Mafia) came out. I was surprised to find out that he's a pre-pharm and not a pre-dent like the rest of his John B buddies. Binh, Shari's (my Big) current boyfriend & also my 3rd interviewer for the pharmacy interview, also came out to play broomball.
Tonight (Wednesday night): Current state: feeling miserable with a sore throat, runny & stuffy nose, cough, and headache. Current task at hand: finalizing & perfecting my pharm school application (due this Friday). I'm so last minute--Samira and Monty have their apps ready-to-go already!! Current task at mind: go shopping with Andrew for Secret Santa (1st opportunity to give the gift is at this Sunday's Chrisgiving). I wonder how this event is going to work out...? Current minute ordeal: having to grade Calculus I papers...ugh.
