I can see clearly now...
Actually, not really. I'm still waiting for my glasses. I called yesterday to inquire (the lady last week told me, 'it'll be a miracle if they're in by Friday but they should be here by Tuesday') and they weren't in yet. I'd like to note that Lenscrafters's customer service has been equal every time: its crap. I mentioned that my glasses were supposed to be a rush order and she gave me the same line of, "we allow 14 days for special order lenses. We'll call you when they come in".
What I'm most pissed about is 1) I may not have my glasses before Vegas and 2) They may not be correct even if I do get them. I've never, ever, ever had a problem with glasses before and I'm really irritated that for some reason, they can't be made correctly and quickly like they have been every other time. To add insult to injury, they do not offer a 1-800 number at all. Grr...
On the bright side, today is the 3rd and I leave for Vegas on the 7th!!! I have a half day at work today because I'm going to B'ham to practice for an elvis karaoke skit we're doing as a district in Vegas (in front of my whole region). Because I'm a girl, I somehow got roped into being a backup singer for the whole thing. Tomorrow and Friday are work as usual but I'm off Saturday so I can do some last minute shopping, laundry and begin to pack. I cannot wait...I need some time away from work.
