Geek Alert: Felicia Day will be on Monday’s Lie to Me (and she sings!)

Idina Menzel is being courted for the role of Vocal Adrenaline coach on Glee. Kristin Chenowith is slated to return (yay) which could make for a Wicked reunion on the show. I love them both and I love Glee for giving Wicked respect. Kurt and Rachel even sang the musical’s Defying Gravity! Also, the mid-season finale was totally epic. Lesbian jokes! Kelly! Don’t Rain on my Parade! Mercedes solo! Sectionals! Really great singing and powerful acting/drama! It was an incredible episode, just when I was starting to lose a little faith n the show. And I’m so glad all the annoying secrets appear to be mostly out. Now we have to wait until April! Geez.

Tonight’s Office was wonderful. Without giving much away, Michael decided to dress as Jesus at one point. And Dwight is like the scariest elf ever. While not as epic as Jim and Pam’s beautiful and touching wedding episode, at least this one sure was funny. My mom and I had to stop putting up decorations just to sit down and kill ourselves. A cute subplot involved Andy attempting to woo Erin with the 12 Days of Christmas which backfired in horrific ways. Also, Oscar and Gay Warehouse Guy! Plus there’s a Robert Pattinson reference that I do want to ruin, but is hilarious. Michael on Jesus: “He has the power of flight. He can heal leopards.”

Parks and Recreation continues getting better, funnier. Plus Amy Poehler is just…awesome. There were fun gay and lesbian jokes in that one too. The plot revolved around Leslie accidentally getting involved in a sex scandal with a politician due to a Christmas pageant comedy skit.

30 Rock was not funny tonight. Julianne Moore was wasted and Liz Lemon’s new haircut is just awful. Distractingly awful. And Cheyenne Jackson (who’s hot, gay and super talented) showed up just to sing beautifully and then horribly and again, be underused.

I’m slowly getting into Bones thanks to Arianne. This week’s episode featured a blown up Santa and an almost naked and shockingly attractive David Boreanaz. Booth and Brennan are a very cute ‘ship. The ending made me cry. And it was much better than last week’s episode which was just like an hour of bizarre and aggressive Avatar product placement. I can’t even explain, it was just odd.

I’m excited for MTV’s new the Buried Life. It’s a show about 4 guys trying to cross 100 items off a bucket list. They’re items mostly seem a bit silly, but each time they do something for themselves, they make someone else’s wish come true. In the preview they showed a woman who’s mother died in Katrina who hasn’t been to her grave, a classroom receiving a flat screen and a man who hasn’t talked to his son since he was two. It looked both moving and wacky. I’m hoping it’s a new direction for MTV reality.

From the not consistently funny but sometimes amusing Community:
Character 1: You should know about guilt, Jew.
Character 2: Use the whole word!
Character 1: Jew..ey?
Character 3: No Jehovah’s witness would ever say Jewey!
Character 1: Oh yeah, was that written on your nonexistent birthday cake?

wicked, the office, glee, tv
