I’d been watching tv and feeling kind of tired. I went to stretch out, move my face a bit, and nothing would happen. I kind of freaked out at first. I started poking at my face, trying to figure out why I couldn’t open my eyes wide. Then I realized it was the Botox.
I haven’t tried to move my forehead in a while, but I know it was still moving alright for at least the week after the injections. Took a while to settle in. Now it’s quite paralysed.
Moving your eyebrows is definitely one of those things you don’t think about much UNTIL YOU CAN’T DO IT ANYMORE. It feels freaky. Very unsettling. My forehead feels so heavy on my brow.
My ability to move my eyebrows individually and in an exaggerated manner is part of the way that I express myself. If I’m surprised, confused, pleased, bewildered, excited or trying to be cool, one eyebrow goes up. I call it the quirky brow. It’s why Karey used to say I reminded her of Christian Slater/The Joker. I even made an emoticon of it for msn. I want it back!
Ugh. Gross.
Oh yeah, and the headaches haven’t changed.
