So I lied about not having anymore updates before move in. I was looking through my old entries and found this day:
http://bamasunshine.livejournal.com/2005/04/27/ Take a look at it if you like. Well I decided to sit and write out the things I've learned since last April (again :) only a year later).
Things I've Learned This Past Year:
1. Tuscaloosa still takes my breath away.
2. It is very very very important to get along with the Bar Manager whereever you work.
3. The Red Star Tavern = Muy Muy Divertito
4. Adult Swim on CCN is very addictive.
5. Keep in touch with the parents.
6. Don't stay out til 3 am when you are living with your dad.
7. Doing what you want (I'm talking what you want, not what someone else wants for you) is important. So if you wanna get your eyebrow pierced, then do it!
8. Moving into an apt can be very stressful.
9. Stop and really think about it before liking someone.
10. Being ignored sucks big toe.
11. Practicing. Just Practicing.
12. Parents still don't understand.
13. If you believe in a cause, then fight for it!
14. Factory drill is still fun. :)
15. Always think before you speak.
16. Don't let people get to you. If you let them, they will never stop.
17. The past is the past.
18. If you order a steak quesadilla at El Rincon and they bring you a steak chimi changa, SEND IT BACK!! Chimi changas are only good with chicken (at least at the Rincon).
19. Don't take life too seriously.
20. Breakfast at Rama Jama's on game day is a tradition that MUST be kept! It is the best!
21. Getting free food from tailgaters is a blast.
22. It's okay to not graduate on time.
23. Don't talk about corps too much. In fact just don't talk about it at all unless asked. It gets annoying real fast.
24. The Baritone is fricken heavey.
25. Sometimes it is okay to fail.
26. Don't leave your trombone in your car.
27. Don't leave your computer in your car.
28. Having your car broken into really sucks the big one.
29. Tyler and Sho really know how to host a party.
30. Always be prepared.
31. Facebook is still addicting even after a year and a half.
32. Being single doesn't suck as much as I used to think.
33. Percussionist really know how to have a good time.
34. California is very very cool. I could so live there.
35. Texas is big.
36. If Danielle says the steps in Texas are icey, BELIEVE her! Otherwise you will fall on your bum down 6 steps.
37. You Bitch! You Slut! You Whore! (If you get it, then you get it)
38. Piano Bars are uber fun.
39. Just chill out. Everything will work its way out in the end.
40. I still want to move to New York.
41. New saunas that don't work yet make for a very fun playground.
42. Having a crush is so Jr. High, but its fun anyway.
43. I miss home more than I thought I would.
44. Finding a place to live off campus is harder than it seems.
45. Some friendships come from very unexpected places.
46. Complaining won't make anything happen. Stop complaining and do something about it!
47. One of the best feelings comes when you finally make friends that are effortless. Friends that don't forget you. Friends that call just to say hello. Friends that remember that you are their friend. (If that doesn't make sense to you, I'm sorry, cause it makes perfect sense to me).
48. Qdoba isn't as bad as I used to think. In fact, I've grown to actually like it (although Moe's is still a heck of a lot better).
49. The Rec is an awesome place.
50. It is very important to keep up with people from home. There is a reason you were friends with them.
Have a great summer everyone! Don't forget to write!
