the day in the life of a marching southerner

Oct 19, 2008 13:13

Saturday October 18, JSU homecoming, southerners reunion, family day, and harlason county exhibition performance

845-1015: practice with southerners alumni for halftime
1030-1230: eat, get ready for parade
1-2: parade through jacksonville
3-7: pre game show for family day, game, halftime show with alumni and homecoming crap, rest of the game
7-715: panic with mark, ian and kara over the fact that we had to run to our cars and grab our stuff only to see that the smart person who ordered buses only got 5 instead of the normal 8 figuring most people would drive to georgia and we are without bus seats...therefore have to drive to harlason county...which none of us know how to get there
745-9: drive, almost get lost, and finally make it there...late
10-11 (georgia time): warm up in the freezing cold, perform, and then get fed...but they didnt make enough food so we hardly got anything
1230 our time: finally make it home

o, and our lovely school president...dr.meehan, came up with the fabulous idea that the southerners should go to the game thursday to support the team,, which im all for usually......but its 8 hours away in tennessee. we get to leave at 9 in the morning thursday and get back around 4 or 5 friday morning. la dee da
