I don't know if I had the idea for this because I saw something similar to it somewhere else or I saw it in a dream. ^^' #kanyeshrug
Anyway, I'll help you through making this:
I really enjoy my Queenly wallpaper here, and I'll help you make something similar!
Let's get started.
Le Coloring
First, let's grab our images. I used
these two images of Queen!Morgana (which I'm pretty sure I got from
here) and
these two images of Queen!Gwen (which I got from
here). I wanted the images of each of the lovely ladies to be as similar as possible.
I applied the coloring directly to the images themselves, before I placed them on my canvas.
This coloring I used for the Queen!Gwen pictures:
Selective coloring is as follows:
Reds: -69, 35, 14, -2
Yellows: 84, 1, -73, -30
Greens: 94, -100, -40, 43
Blues: 84, -95, 100, 100
Neutrals: 56, -4, 36, 1
Blacks: 0, 6, 0, -8
Look And this is the coloring I used for the Queen!Morgana pictures:
Selective coloring is as follows:
Reds: -83, 40, 85, 82
Yellows: 100, 50, 36, 58
Neutrals: 7, -9, -21, -4
Look Then hit Shift+Ctrl+E on all images to merge everything together
Le set up
Since the resolution of my laptop is 1366x768, I made my canvas that size. For obvious reasons, make your canvas the size of your screen resolution~
I filled the layer with #615B5B; I wanted a background that was light, but not LIGHT.
LookSince my images were HUGE, like 5616x3744 HUGE, after I placed them on my canvas, I hit Crtl+T, and resized them to 8%. Yes, 8%. Then, I placed them exactly halfway on the canvas (I took half of the width, and half the height, and placed them accordingly).
Look(There's erased parts on the Morgana images, yes, teehee. Sorry. I erased those parts later on as I made it.)
Then I duplicated each image, dragged the duplicated image under the original, and moved each duplicated image so it was almost to the very edge of the canvas. Confusing? Probably. Best just to look at the image for clarification.
LookThen, on each duplicated image, I went to Motion Blur and set the distance to 214 px.
LookThen on the original images, I set each to Lighten.
LookThen I went to the Line Tool and set the Weight to 30 px, then made a line from one end of the canvas to the other, at the top of the images, and another at the bottom of the images.
Look As for the text:
I used Cairo at 24 pt for the the once and future.
And used Barbarjowe Pisanki at 12 pt for the gwen & morgana.
The final! Then you're done!
If you use this tut, I'd love to see your results!
