(no subject)
I am currently in Cali. it is prob about 11:36 michigan time.
last night was my grandma and grandpa's 50th anniversary party. it was a lot of fun. I did karaoke. it was a lot of fun.
I am getting to know my cousins. It was brought to my attention that my cousin ben and i look alike. we do.. mmhmm...
my family is so much fun. I really like it here in cali. when i am older i think that i am going to move here. if it is alright with Jeff. I want Jeff to meet my family.
I am spending a lot of time with my family. Tuesday we are going to go to Disney Land. and sometime we are goign to go to knoxberry farm. plus we are going to go look at this all glass church. and i guess there is a campus/christian school with a bunch of statues of like moses and other biblical people.
I went to a christian book store and got a book. the lady at the register told me that she liked my breaclet. I told her that i lost the star to my bracelet and she is going to talk to the people who make the bracelets and get me a new star. at first she was talkign about getting a whole new bracelet but i told her that Jeff gave it to me. YaY!
I miss Jeff and all of you. I wish that i could be in cali and still go to church with all of you.
today i mostly ate... EVERYTHING IN SIGHT. lol i ate a tomato sadwich, strawberries, sushi, a crap load of bread, lotsa pizza, oranges, rice crispies, this cracker dip stuff left over from the party, some raw fish stuff (not sushi), cake, and some other junk... i feel fat. lol
it is really warm here... but not HOT. so we can't go to the beach because it is "too cold". lol.. i need to call my cuz phillip and tell him that i am goign to go to disney land tuesday. i really can't wait. i sure hope that he can go.
Omgoodness my cousin chris was kinda tipsy at the party last night, he was so funny. i got him and his friends to sing karaoke. lol.. TOO FUNNY
on my way here I sat next to Pat Boone. He used to be a famous singer. He talked to me a lot about God. He told me that he wanted to be a teacher because he wanted to be able to touch kids lives. He was actualy in college to be a teacher when his career really set off. He went to school for 5 years instead of the average time ( i forgot what he said was the average ). He is a really nice man. He was friends with Elvis. He told me how much different him and Elvis was. The last time Pat saw Elvis was 1 month before he died. Pat was on his way to florida and elvis was on his way to cali. Elvis told Pat that he is always headed the wrong way. Then Elvis died. Then he found out of all the drugs that Elvis was on. And here Pat Boone is, still living, and pursuing his career as a singer. He also writes articles, "The Good News and The Bad News". He actually wrote one of the articles when he was sitting next to me on the place.
I learned a lot from Pat. He is a very nice man. He read his bible while he was sitting next to me, and we were discussing how God can achieve things through us. Even though Pat wasn't able to become a teacher because he had to follow through with his contracts, he let God guide him and he was still able to touch even more kids lives. Just think, this man travels a lot, and he has to see many other kids like me that he talks to. He probably tells them a lot of the things that he told me. I know that I was amazed by some of the stories that he told me. He once wrote a song about abortion just let us live. something like that, he said that it was a contorversial song because it gave a voice to the unborn child. He told me that many girls went up to him later and told him that they were thinking of abortion but heard his song and decided not to. Last year he met again one of the children that was saved by his song. He told me that he met this guy when he was a baby, and then 18 years later he found the kid and he was a football player, homecoming king, a great student, involved in clubs, and a popular kid. Just to think, what the mother would have taken away. Look what the kid got to do beacause of Pat Boone.
I gave Pat my address and he is going to send me some information. He is going to do this service that this cell phone thing is goign to do where he calls someone at a certain time and pray with them briefly. He says that some people feel that they are not "in touch" with God. and that they can't find a way to pray to him. He said after about 50 or so seconds on the phone praying with that person he would get off the line with them, but even though they are off the line with Pat they will continue to pray and still be on the line with God. I find that a clever idea. A daily prayer. They are going to give him money to do this, but he told me that he would feel really awkward to get payed to pray so he is going to take the money and put it in his organization. I don't know what it is called, but it is a christian organization.
