LJ Survey....hoooo boy.

Balygurlie, because Baly is a nickname from back in the girl scout day when Panna and I created our own language. It was pretty cheesy because it simply had one rule: Every work that started with a vowel was tagged with a B at the beginning and any consonant word, the consonant was removed and replaced with a B. So in essence, every single word started with a B, and we thought we were geniuses. The gurlie part comes from years ago, like middle school when Ellen coerced me into getting an LJ in the first place. I thought it was cool and it was the late nineties/turn of the century so 'gurlie' was totally in.
2. My name is _____ because ______.
Alicyn, my mom's clever creation. Because my dad's friend had a daughter months before me and her name was 'Allison,' they wanted to spell it differently. My mom took the Ali from Alison and then Cyn from Cynthia, an old friend of hers that she hasn't talked to since they graduated high school or something. Take the two parts and put them into a blender and what have you got? Alicyn. (Though apparently it isn't as unique as you would think. Try googling it, there's tons of hits.)
Ally, my nickname/abbreviation came from an act of teenage defiance. All my life my name was spelt 'Ali' for short but I figured since adults spelt it that way then it was totally uncool. Plus people also sometimes call me 'Ally Cat' so, it kind of fits better than 'Ali.' Plus the letter Y is awesome, so there you go.
3. My journal is titled ____ because ____.
"You Know the Words 'Once Upon a Time' Make You Listen? (There's a Reason)" I'm not too sure why I decided to name my journal this, it sounds pretty cool and I think they were lyrics I stumbled upon. I like to pretend I'm creative.
4. My friends page is called ____ because ____.
"The 'Hmm', the 'Eww', and the 'Ooh la la.'" I think it pretty much sums up reactions to LJ posts. Either they are enlightening and interesting, shocking or absurd, or cosmopolitan and steamy. My friends are far more interesting than I am.
5. My default userpic is ____ because ____.
Right now its legs crossed in stripey socks. They aren't mine its an avatar I found and I am a fan of color. I really want those socks. I would dance in them. My previous default was a set of hands covered in paint that's all different colors, which is fitting because I am an art major, so I play with paint and things.
