I started my job today. Working at Parkside in Hamilton. Nearly died in 5 hours, and I can hardly feel my feet, but it was damn worth it.
Nearly got my head bitten off a few time by psychotic customers, one even stormed out. I love the lunch rush. And I have a new respect for those working in the food business having to compare to that of the lower quality fast food. Just because they arent sat down and given menus like regular restaurants, they expect their food done in 6 minutes or less. Wheras in a real restaurant they wont mind waiting a half hour for their food. And, once one person gets complaining, they all get started. But the morning crew was nice, and a couple of them were regulars, and recognized the fact that I was new and were patient. I love them.
8am tomorrow, its going to be another long day...
