It's been warm, and it's been raining. I've been sleeping, waking up, and sleeping more. And I can't turn off the pre-war blues - Bessie Smith, Memphis Minnie, Billy Bird, Lonnie Johnson. I'm happy to be in Memphis right now. The air feels so sticky and dense. The music has made it that much more dense. I couldn't cut through it, but I wouldn't want to. It's eerily romantic. I feel enlightened. I feel like taking a long bath.
