Jury Duty
I have been called to Jury Duty on March 7. My mother-in-law tried to talk me into taking an exclusion because I am the primary caregiver of 2 boys under 14 years of age. I told her that as a matter of personal honor I could not do that.
I told her that if I were ever accused of a crime, would I want to be judged by 12 people who were there only because they could not get out of it?
Sometimes being a citizen of the USA is inconvenient. We must carry out our duties as citizens as seriously as we enjoy the privileges being a citizen provides us.
