"For two weeks NTV didn't put the piece on the air. They promised to, but they didn't," Cherkasov says. "The two preceding Sundays it was supposed to appear on the same program, 'Central Television,' but it didn't, because they didn't want to release it without a comment from [Chechen President] Ramzan Kadyrov. But Kadyrov refused. So the channel overcame its own internal concerns and issued the story." RFERL

I already gave my opinion on Umarpashayev and similar cases and I do not have much to add .
If Kadyrov breaks that wall of underwater corruption among his security forces, for that he may pay a high price, but it would earn him the key to true normalisation in Chechnya .

What I find fascinating, is the atmosphere in which politics in Russia unfolds .
It seems all made of purloined emails and phone calls from the Kremlin .
Cherkasov tries to sell this story like a piece of brave journalism blocked from above .
In my humble opinion, is just a game of political manouvres .
Someone used NTV to disturb the boss .
Doing it from inside is much more than a message in a bottle .
It's a bullet .
