Soooo, once upon a time there was this girl named Emily that didn't know what she wanted to do once she got out of high school.

We wrote a "Goal Paper" in english 12, and mine was the only "unique" one in the whole class. Every single one (im not even joking) had these goals-

1) go to college
2) start career
3)build a house
4)get a nice car (one was get a nice boat, not car)
5) get married

(ACK)

Although they were all in paragraph form, they all explained what they wanted to do in college and what they wanted to do as there career, and what and were they wanted to build there house. I guess small town values are pounded into your brain at birth. However mine read

1) Go to college at UNK, I was planning on going to Boulder, BUT I had a change of heart when my sister got accepted. I mean, I love her, to death, but I want to do something all of my own.

2) Visit the east coast- I always wanted to go to the east coast, and if I fall in love with the area, hopefully I'll live there someday

3) Backpack thru Europe- how awesome would that be. I've always loved art, and Europe is famous for its status, & painting. Every year our art club goes to Denver's Museum of Natural Art and History, And even though its the same stuff every year, I LOVE going. It never gets old.

4) Join the Peace Corps- I think they are so awesome, even if its just during a summer, you can go and build hospitals in third world contries, and teach underprivleaged children to read. It think everyone should do something really important while they are alive, and that is deffinitely something you could do.

5) Travel with the Warped Tour- I know it would be much to expensive to actually hit ever city they do, but SERIOUSLY, how cool would it be to go to 10 warped tours across a couple of states. Its so awesome because you can meet so many great people, and make a wide varity of friends that other wise you would never get to know.

The assignment was to list 5 things you want to do in the first couple years after graduation; then list them in paragraph form, maybe Im just crazy, but Those are my actual goals, I want to have adventure and fun. I want to live when I get out of highschool. However this paper made me feel like some sort of juvinelle with pointless goals...
