Big Changes are Coming!
So I'm quitting my job. There are a shit ton of reasons, but needless to say all signs are pointing to leaving Habitat for Humanity Lansing. So my search began about a week ago. Needless to say, it's been interesting. I'm flying down to New Orleans on Nov. 13 to formally interview and checkout the St. Tammany West affiliate about 35 miles north of New Orleans. I'm so excited! I could be moving 1100 miles away from MI over the holidays. I would be a part of something amazing. I would be making a difference where people are forgetting we still need help. 43% of the residents in New Orleans and Mandeville, LA are still without running water and electricity. It's outrageous to think in the United States in 2007 it would take over 2 years to rebuild an infrastructure in a storm ravaged area. It makes me sick to think about it. Wish me luck down there and I'll report (hopefully good news) to you all when there's something to report!
