Hmmmmm......

So it's finally hit me.  I"m not going back to school, and it feels really strange.  All the CA's went back Tuesday night, and had their first day of training yesterday.  After being a part of that for so long (almost four years), I feel, almost lost to not be there.  Instead I'm sitting at home, trying to find a job.. and trying to come up with an action plan if I can't get a live in job at any of the colleges I've applied to.

Speaking of which, none of them have gotten back in touch with me.  I had an interview on the sixth, with a woman who said she'd be in touch by the end of the week.  She didn't call, so I touched base with  her, and she was VERY rude.  And I still have not heard.  I think it may be safe to assume that I didn't get that job.  I was also supposed to get a call to interview at the same place I worked this summer, by the end of this week at the latest.  I didn't hear anything last week, so I checked back earlier this week; hoping to talk to the Dean of Students, instead I spoke to his secretary (who is very nice by the way), who said that he's on vacation until next week.  GAH!!!! I want a job. I am a competent person, who isn't above asking for help when I need it.  I know that I have areas that I need to work on, and I accept that.  Would one of these colleges (or the four that I applied to in the past week) please hire me??  If that really doesn't work out, never fear! I have a backup plan....
I called one of the area animal hospitals yesterday, as they had a position posted for a small animal vet technician.  I don't know if they've filled the spot yet, but if they haven't, and will train me to do what I need to do; guh I'd LOVE to work there.  Or Yankee Tattoo which has a spot for a part time receptionist.

On a happier note, I've gotten to see the boy an amazing amount, considering that he's working two jobs.  I went to the fair last Friday night, and he called and came to see me.  When he got there I dragged him around to see all the cute baby animals, and then he dragged me around to see the antique farm equipment. We also had a really great talk, where he asked me a pretty important question. (No. I am not engaged. Thanks for asking though!)   And then he came down to the barn the next night (he worked Saturday during the day) and spent the weekend with me.  It was pretty much the most awesome time EVER.   I love him so much. :) I would like to keep him. Okay, thanks!

Also, I spent an kinda crazy amount of monies on my beautiful new phone Thursday night.  That's right folks, I am now the proud owner of a sleek and shiny new silver  enV.  It's pretty much one of the most awesome phones ever.  Made even more awesome by the ring tones that I'm gonna be downloading.  One for when the boy calls, and a general one.  It's rather exciting really.  Does anyone have any good ideas for a general ring tone that I can use for my  everyone calls?  I"d appreciate it!

Since it's pretty much a certainty that I won't be going to NYC for my graduation gift (tear), mom has told me that she'll help me outfit my new apartment when I get it. *squee!*  I think I want a KitchenAide mixer, in hot pink, 'natch. Or a black one that Jon can paint some sweet flames on.  Considering that I want him to come and visit (Or live, whichever ; ) ) it's a toss up.

Lastly, for those of you know know me,  I"m cutting off a good portion of my hair tomorrow morning..and what remains will be a shiny, pretty new color.  If I knew how to post pics, I'd do that for you, but since I don't think anyone really reads this anymore, maybe I won't.

Well, I'm off to make some sweet tea and do some laundry.

Love,

Jess
