Ok, so a few things have happened since my last post...the biggest one being that after three weeks working in Indiana, Richard will be home with me next week. It's been insanely lonely without him and I'm very glad he's back, lol.
Um, about my job...one of the assistant managers at Family Dollar was fired a couple of weeks ago. The job was consequently offered to Kallie, the cashier I replaced while she was having a baby. Kallie took the job and I am now the only cashier again, so my hours have gone up to normal and I won't have to look for another job after all. Which is good, because I do love working there and the people I work with have become my friends. However, if Kallie doesn't like the job and steps back down to cashier again, my boss will be hiring someone to take the job and I'm right back in the same place I was. So I hope Kallie likes it for all of our sakes.
With our tax returns Richard and I paid off the parental evaluator and so soon a final hearing will be set to hear who gets the kids and what the other parent's visitation will be, etc. We got a copy of the evaluation through the mail from his lawyer and though I personally am not all that optimistic, both Richard and his lawyer are of the opinion that it makes his case look even better, and I'm going to side with the professional and the man who knows Jaclyn better than I would ever want to, and be positive. I do hope with all my heart that we get them though. I love them as if they were my own and would be proud to help raise them as their step-mom.
Speaking of getting the kids, if we do get them, we will be starting to look for a new place, one with three bedrooms so that the kids can have their own bedrooms. We haven't yet because we weren't sure whether or not we'd need the bigger place as we don't know if we'll be getting the kids yet. But it won't be a problem at all. Nothing is too big a problem when it comes to getting and taking care of the kids.
I have to make an appointment with a admissions counselor April 8th or 9th to register for summer classes at Madisonville's Murray State campus, and classes will be starting soon thereafter. I'm planning on taking a few classes in the early morning and working noon to close afterward, that way work won't be hindered by classes and vice versa.
Omg, the biggest news I've heard in a long time. One of my best friends, Krystal, is now engaged and pregnant in Lexington. I'm so insanely excited for her it's not funny. She's very happy and I am very very happy for her. I hope she reads this and knows how happy I am for her. I feel like the luckiest and happiest woman in the world just being engaged and having two beautiful soon to be stepchildren, so I know how lucky and happy she must feel. We're both very lucky people, and I wish us both the best, lol.
