Name: Crystal
Fandom: Pokemon Special / Adventures (manga)
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Time Period: Post Emerald arc
Wing Color: Light sky blue, almost to the point of being white. Like this
History: Bulbapedia | serebii
Personality: Crystal's first impression is of a gentle and compassionate girl. She volunteers for the Earl's Academy at Violet City without asking for anything in exchange, and helps out with the cleaning, cooking, and basically taking care of the needs of the children and the Pokemon living there. Crystal values the Academy and everyone in it a lot, and is even willing to sacrifice herself to ensure that the Academy gets their needs taken care of (because the Academy is poor and is in need of money, she decides to help Professor Oak go around capturing Pokemon for his research on the condition that the Professor gives money to the Academy).

That is merely but one side of Crystal. When it comes down to her work, she is usually very serious, which leads to her being occasionally intimidating (because, frankly, the difference is too big). She is the type to take her own initiative, without waiting for others to tell her what to do. Another point about Crystal is that she is also very focused. Once she sets her sights on something, she doesn't stop to give herself a break or to enjoy herself. This is shown with the incident with Bill and the amusement park, when, after she sees an Elekid that she had not sent to the Professor, she chases it down instead of enjoying herself in the park like she had wanted to. She keeps her outlook positive, and is usually very enthusiastic about things. Sometimes, though, her enthusiasm can be overwhelming -- she can babble on about the Pokemon she caught to Professor Oak for ages and not get tired.

Due to her caring nature, though, if she finds out that she might have somehow hindered the other party by her ignorance, she is likely to blame herself. For example, in the Suicine and Tin Tower incident, Crystal had tried to capture Suicine at the Tin Tower but failed, only to realize that Suicine only wanted to meet with Ho-Oh. When she realized that, she broke down in tears, but managed to compose herself shortly after that. One might say that Crystal is a little bit wary of strangers. When she first met Yellow, she bombarded her with questions; when she met with Silver and Gold she called them punks. However, as soon as one gains her trust, she'll stick by them closely, helping them whenever they need help.

Crystal is very knowledgeable about the world of Pokemons. She reads a lot, which might explain her immense knowledge and her ability to become an assistant to the Professor. She is able to stay calm and not let her emotions get the better of her in distressing situations like a battle, for example. She analyzes the situation and thinks up of the best way to win the match or to counter an attack. She's also able to apply her knowledge to various other real life situation other than Pokemon battles. Her observation skills is very honed, and she notices a lot of things that others might miss.

In a way, one can say that Crystal is very openminded. Although she might not agree with others, she respects them and their skills. This allows her to make friends very easily. She does not like tricking others or lying to them, but that doesn't stop her from being friends with Eusine, someone who uses his gadgets to try deceive others. Her seriousness makes her the type of girl who follows by the rulebook more often than not, and she gets annoyed whenever someone decides to break the rules. This leads to frequent quarrels with Gold, and him calling her the representative of Club Serious.

Strengths:
Physical: She's fit. She has quite a bit of stamina and can hold out longer than most girls her age (not as much as Sapphire can, though). Her legs can pack a punch -- there's a lot of power in there as she has been using her legs all these times to kick Pokeballs at Pokemons, instead of using the traditional way (hands) to catch them. This was due to an accident she had as a kid in which she broke both her arms, and so she started training her legs. Her accuracy with her kicks is very good, as she can hit the bullseye in a target.
Mental: Crystal is very focused. Once you get her started on something, you can hardly stop her. She has a quite a bit of willpower too, as she somehow manages to stay focused throughout her mission without even letting her desires get to her a bit (Bill and amusement park incident). She's also very observant: once, when she was trapped underwater in a submarine like ship, she observed the currents around her and waited for the perfect opportunity to use her Pokemon help get the ship unstuck. Crystal is also very knowledgeable, about Pokemon and everything related to them, although this probably wouldn't help so much in Luceti.
Emotional: As said before, Crystal is able to keep her emotions under check, especially when it comes to a battle. She doesn't freak out, she analyzes the opponent and chooses the best way to attack. Coupled with her knowledge and observation skills, she's also able to give good advice to others. She helps out Emerald in his mission, which leads to Annabelle commenting that she has "a wonderful composure" and "tons of experience" after overhearing her conversation with Emerald.

Weaknesses:
Physical: Crystal is, after all, a normal human, so she can be killed. She can sustain injuries, she can come down with diseases, and as well as all those other things that can befall a normal human.
Mental: Crystal's seriousness could be considered her weaknesses (or flaw). She's the type to follow the rules, and to whoever who doesn't, she would nag at them. A lot. This makes her unbearable at times, but she really doesn't mean any harm. She also doesn't know the proverb, "all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy". She's the type to get so concentrated in her work that she wouldn't care about relaxing or having fun once in a while.
Emotional: Even if Crystal is said to have good control in her emotions, there are still times that she breaks down. After she fought with Suicine (and lost, for the first time) at the Tin Tower, she realizes that she isn't able to catch Pokemons anymore, due to a mental shock. This shows that, as much as she might seem calm at times, she is still a 13 year old kid, and there are things that would shake her up badly.
