tattoos

Those who have known me for long are aware that I have a quite big tattoo that I dislike. Okay, I hate it. I made my first tattoo (a simple and very lame butterfly :D) when I was 15, and I was very happy with that lame tattoo-- I could show off and no one believed that it's real :P I got it during Summer holidays in Cannes, France, and had some cool memories connected to it. Of course I was quick to realize that my tattoo isn't all that cool itself, especially since shortly after I got it, there was that fashion trend with all girls wearing belts/tops/panties with butterflies D: My tattoo almost got bad taste. When I was 19 I decided to do a cover-up job-- my butterfly tattoo is no more, but I have a big Japanese dragon + chrysanthemums tattoo that is unfinished (it was supposed to be finished but the guy messed it up, I refuse to accept it as it is) and I got it during the worst period in my life, it reminds me of that time. Most people says that my tattoo is awesome, even total strangers (because a lot of people seem to assume that 'having a tattoo = being social and friendly' and have no problem to start talking to me or comment aloud on my look-- fucking rude, and the main reason I prefer one-piece swimming suits) but I personally hate it-- and only my opinion matters here. I still cannot decide what to do with it-- it would be nice to do something with it so I don't hate it anymore, but I worry that the job will get fucked up again, I would just waste a lot of money. I used to think that I would be most happy with removing it but it doesn't seem to be an option, not with the methods available right now (I don't qualify for lasers, not the currently available). It's possible that the tattoo removal techniques/lasers will improve soon, so 'no tattoo' is an option too-- maybe, someday... But, about a week ago I started wondering if I really want to go with 'no tattoo' :)

*is in love*

from tokyofashion.com... I saw quite a few cool tattoos there. I love Nana's lotus tattoo. Mika Nakashima has cool tattoos too. My feelings towards the word 'tattoo' starts changing.
