(no subject)
My skin has become very nice lately. Not sure about the cause. If it was about just my facial skin, I could understand-- about 2-3 weeks ago I discovered facial creams and masks that work great for me. One cream, I use it as my night cream, is by La Roche-Posay, the rest by the Polish brand Tołpa Torf Corporation (the main active ingredient is peat mud ^^ their cosmetics are hypo-allergenic products are allergen- and colourant-free). I especially like their ROSACAL series for sensitive, rosacea-affected skin...
If it's not about my skin care, the diet seems like the obvious reason. But, while I've been eating lots of sushi and brown rice lately, and eating less sweets (and sweet things in general = fruit; I do eat a lot of veggies though, they are better imho), I've been drinking more than eating haha Sure, red wine is good but probably not in that amount. We will see how it goes, if my skin stays nice. I don't plan to cut on alcohol any time soon.
Yesterday I finished watching Paradise Kiss. I read the first volume of the manga years ago, just because ParaKiss got released in my country, and didn't care enough to keep going, but since the series is by the author of NANA, I thought I will give it another try. It kept me interested enough for me to finish the whole anime, obviously, but I can't say I liked it a lot. The moment when the female lead started her modelling career made me excited (I'm interested in the subject) and I enjoyed George's passion for fashion, but I had a hard time concentrating during the last episodes (boring, and who are those random characters? the pacing seemed weird), but I really liked the ending.
I like it when the characters choose something else (work, passion, PRIDE, etc.) over love. I've never been very romantic. I guess that in the end Paradise Kiss isn't for me. My impression is that the series is much worse than NANA, but I will assume that I just didn't get it. To me, it felt rushed, the characters weren't developed/explored enough, but maybe some like it this way. I mean, NANA is now 21 volumes long and still unfinished-- I don't want it to end, lol, but I can hear people complaining. ParaKiss is just 5 volumes long.
