yes i will. i was looking at a statue of buddha outside a buffet, and i suddenly had a violent seizure, and when i woke up, i was covered in my own urine and vomit, and all i could see was the fat, lecherous, grinning face of the buddha staring down at me. i knew at that moment that i would forever fight in the name of anti-buddhism. the core philosophy of buddhims is something known in western terms as "the bundle theory of personhood." the theory states that rather than there being subjects of experience, aka persons, roaming around on the earth, there are instead these feelings of pain and sensations of joy and etc etc bundled around where each "person" would be. that screams idiocy to me. only an idiot would look at the accepted perception of persons and find some entirely frivolous and nonveridical way to contradict it. enlightenment is a useless concept as well. there is no substance behind enlightenment whatsoever; it's yet another term used to coax assholes into believing that buddhism is worth something. all in all, buddhism is nothing but a support of several entirely obvious yet frivolously elaborated facets of what it is to be a person. the fact is, any intelligent person is fully aware of his or her own personal relationships to others and their environment, so going out of their way to dwell on each and every little nuance involved therein is just a waste of time and mental energy and certainly many other things its wasting. not like me writing this post, though. this is the way REAL suckers use their time.
I appreciate your intellectual discourse on the matter, but I found some faults in your conception of the Buddhist philosophy, especially regarding bundle theory. The Buddhist perspective basically means you cannot explain the unity of consciousness by referring to the self. The self does not exist. If you find their ways lacking substance, than I cannot see how you can find substance in any other religion.
that would be a good point if i had made any mention of me finding substance in another religion. ..but i didn't. i don't practice any religion at all, unless if you want to consider worshipping myself and everything i stand for a religion. that's the problem with so many religions... they put so much emphasis on selflessness in the name of either a god or a way of life or a prophet or a prophet-god, when being selfish is the only practical way to live your life. giving yourself to some other cause is wreckless and completely asinine in that you are the only thing that you can verify is for sure in this world (although some people would argue this point, but they're dumbass dissheveled existentialists anyway.) prove to me that there is a reason i should devote myself and my life to the cause of some greater good, and i might. you can't prove it, so just disassociate yourself with whatever religion or belief system you live by while you still have the majority of your life left to live. to end this lucrative and completely necessary argument, buddhism sucks and i wish i was dead... maybe that way i wouldn't have to be bombarded by easily-affected chumps who've poured their mental resources into the mold of a religion and are trying to get me to do the same.
Actually, I'm not passing judgment on your way of life, nor trying to convince you to fit into the "mold of a religion" through discourse and reason. I am merely pointing out flaws in your conception of Buddhism, not your religious philosophy.
I thoroughly enjoyed this discussion, mainly because it is intellectual masturbation. Maybe later we can discuss the ineptitude of Roman Catholic Church, or perhaps pick my choice of food tomorrow morning.
