Don't worry, it's not your old eyes wearing out on you...I really do have a job now! Baseball has decided to take a year off from me, so I'm now working for Texas Box Office. I answer the phones when people call to order tickets for UT events or concerts at the Erwin Center. Technically I do work for UT Athletics, so I'm not completely out of sports. It's part-time in name, but I work 39 1/2 hours a week! So far I'm enjoying myself. It can be slow and the people there could be described as "alternative" (one girl and one guy each have mohawks), but it's easy work and they hired me, so here I am.
I'm very happy to still be in Austin and am considering a future here. That would involve a change in my career dream, so I'm figuring out what else I might want to do for the rest of my life. I am dating someone right now...it always seems to be that way for me. I can either be successful in the social realm or the work/school realm but not both at the same time...not yet anyway. Hey if I had it all now, what would my 30s be for??
Well I better go. I work 9-5 tomorrow, 9-6 Friday and 1-4 Saturday. Six day work weeks are BRUTAL. Sweet dreams!
