I've got some down time at work right now so I figured I'd give an update. Nothing all that exciting going on right now. Mostly just working and hanging out when I'm not at work. Christmas was good and my 4 day weekend was just too short!
I have decided to work on New Year's Eve here at the hotel. I need the money too badly not to. I will either be serving at the restaurant or bartending in the Holidome I think. I'm kind of thinking Holidome would be more fun but there will be a DJ and karaoke in the Cabana (restaurant) so either/or would work. Hopefully I'll make some mad money as I am not sure I'll have enough to pay rent this coming month.
I am probably going to have to get a second job. Sucks to be me but I can't handle it. I'm not really getting by right now. The good thing is that my boss wants to hire me on full-time. My only reservation about it is that I don't want to get sucked into working ALL the time. I love the M-F 9-5 deal and I don't want to go back to anything but that if I can help it. As far as I know, I could get stuck here way more often if I get hired in. So we'll see, I need to talk to my boss more as the most recent conversation about this was held in passing in the hallway by my office. I need to get more out of him as far as expectations go once I'm hired in. Plus I need to find out if I could be hired in before the 90 day period is up with WSI, technically my current employer. So lots is still up in the air. It's not that I don't like working here, because I do, I just don't want to work here 24/7. That is my fear. Work is not my life.
What else......... seriously not much to report. My wireless internet stuff is working on and off. I'm rather annoyed about that but could only mess with it for so long. Hopefully tonight I'll ply around with it some more. If not, I'll hook it back up via ethernet cord and return to the world of AIM which I am feeling a little lost from as I am not signed on right now. It's a sad life I lead.
Well I 'spose I should head back to work. The day has actually flown by pretty quickly, especially since I got to go out to eat with Colleen for lunch!
