Carrying Ms K

Apr 14, 2010 16:35

Kate has been getting a lil heavy for the pupsik sling. My poor shoulder has been bearing the brunt of carrying Miss Heavybottoms around and so I started the search for another baby carrier.

So just as I was researching the Ergo, distractedfish posted an entry about the patapum. It is a carrier that is similar to the style of the Ergo but comes with a smaller price tag.

She kindly sent me a discount card that gave me a ten percent off any carrier and I went to the store at Square 2 to test out the different carriers out.

Can I just say that the proprietors of the business,Baby Slings & Carriers, are just wonderful people who not only know their products well and their service is just immaculate. They manage to assess my needs and gave me several carriers to try on.

In the end, I decided on a black patapum in the toddler size cos Ms Kateypoo is clearly too long for the baby sized version.

I liked that the patapum carrier makes carrying Kate virtually weightless. Believe me, it's almost impossible task to not feel tired after holding her for a period of time.

Plus, I can adjust it to fit Darien so that he can have his handsfree at times too.

And the best part is it's within my price range.

But no one is happier than the bubs. She loves it that she can continue to snuggle close to me for a longer period of time n NOT be subjected to the pram.

So I guess it's a win win situation all round. =)
