Hello!
Sooooo things are getting better...This week Im doing much better in classes FINALLY lol and MIKE WILL BE HERE TONIGHT AT 6!!!!! yayyyyyyyy lol
Also, in rep we've been doing Paquita (the opening and finale, not the adagio/pas section or the solos) and apparently are performing it on the 15th...Theres no like casting or anything yet and both classes are doing it...apparently word on the street is that we have to do it like 2 or 3 times for some fundraising thing and before each showing of it we have to do like a mini class with Anna like a demonstration I guess lol...So idk if there will be multiple casts or what but obviously Ill let everyone know if/when we find out...
Also, the boys are in Nutcracker...well 5 of them are...Erik and two other tall boys are soldiers and 2 shorter ones are mice...and Erik is an understudy in Othello...one of the boys, Shane, is actually in it and Erik and Sam are understudies so thats the update on that...
Were also doing some like 6-7 min jazz demo on the 22nd somewhere in the afternoon...not many details but the jazz teacher really likes me because most of the girls here (at least in my class) dance like they've never had a jazz class in their life lol
And...We are also rehearsing some of Alexi's choreography on Saturdays...these rehearsals kind of tick me off because I am in the "second group" of this dance Lament and its a pretty cool dance but its really contemporary and physical...like we do a lot of partner work with the other girls and its just not something we're used to as classical ballet dancers lol but I guess its good for us...and its to music from Schindler's List and some of the shapes we make are kinda creepy/haunting...idk its just odd...but the reason I get ticked is cuz im in the second group and feel dumb but whatever...Anna likes me so hopefully Ill get a decent part in Paquita and Alexi is starting to like me again lol so ill try to keep that up
Okay, well thats really all thats been goin on...I miss home and everyone so much!!! Ill be home in 7 weeks from yesterday! lol Thats still long tho :-(
