Last night.....well let's just say last night, I was the most annoyed/offended as I have ever been in quite some time. I went to this thing called "Is christianity arrogant?" for my speech class. Being a non-Christian, I thought it might be interesting, and perhaps provide me with some insight. I went with Kevin, Timmy, and Emily, and I swear that we must have been 4 of maybe 5 non-christians in the room PACKED with people. This speaker was from Oxford University, and I must say that ironically enough he was the most ARROGANT CHRISTIAN I have ever met!!!!! There was a Q+A session afterwards, and one of my friends asked "Why am I gay?" And he went on and on about how it was not biological, and there was no scientific evidence of a "gay gene." Emily raises her hand and says "then what makes someone gay....? I don't think most homosexuals CHOOSE to be the way they are." He had the nerve to quote FREUD. FREUD!!!! The biggest loser of a cracked out heroin using psychologist. So Kevin raises his hand and says,"If there's no scientific proof for a gay gene, then what's the scientific proof that God exists?" And he said that there was LOADS of scientific evidence.....and he started off by talking about the PROPHECY....?!?!?!??! WTF does a prophecy have to do with SCIENCE. I am so angry that I wasted my time. High school christians have had better arguments for God......
