My Single
Oh my God! I can't believe I've gotten this far but my single is now on a CD and it is going into the package to get sent to Sony Records as I type this. This is so very exciting I'm jumping up and down in my seat! I will probably include some of the songs I have written too but I'm not so sure yet. Most of them aren't that great but they mean a lot to me and they came right from the heart.
Oh did I mention how exciting this is? It's so amazing. I feel so lucky even though nothing has happened yet. I haven't sent it off even! But I'm not even sure if they will sign me. I mean, the demo was pretty good and almost professional but in reality my voice is crap and I've never done a "gig" before so no one else has heard me sing.
Wait that's a big lie, I took singing lessons and performed Dancing Queen at the end of the year. Actually it was pretty funny because that was the day I twisted my knee and I was supposed to do a big jump at the end because I was the Dancing Queen, but because I could barely walk, I had to sit on a stool and do the arm movements while everyone else danced around me. I'm sure it was quite humourus to watch, I don't think I'm going to buy the video this year.
Anyway, I must be off to send away my single. I hope Sony likes it! It's always been my dream to be a singer and sing my own songs and my own material up on stage and have fans singing it with me and know the songs. Well, I'm one step closer! I'm so excited, did I mention this already?
