I was supposed research for my project for English 204 but remembered I had domestic duties. I did the dishes in the morning, had my shower and went for a walk. When I got back, I watched South Park for an hour and had my lunch. After that I cleaned the filter, bathtub, the shower walls and the sinks. When I do the dishes I always take my singlet off because my father cannot wash so many of them every week. When I clean the bathtub and sinks, I take all my clothes off to keep them from getting wet. It makes the job easier. I don’t just clean the bathtub, I also clean the showerhead and the walls.
Shailesh is supposed to come home at 10:00 for his exercise (I spot him). He told me when he moves out he’ll pick me up and take me to his apartment to spot him. I think it’s ridiculous I would have to do so but Shailesh can’t afford a personal trainer. Dad told him he would pay for one and he said no. He feels dad has given him enough and would feel guilty asking him for anything else. If Shailesh wants me to help him with his exercise, we’ll have to do so on the days that I have school. I have class two days a week. The rest of the week is my time to do the cleaning and my homework.
I hope mom will teach me how to cook. I want to learn the simple recipes such as cabbage curry and spinach bhaaji. I always wanted to learn how to make dhal. Dad is going to teach me how to do the laundry. Mom has to teach me how to cook. How can I be a wife if I don’t know how to cook? All I know is a few recipes. She told me when her feet get better she will be able to help me. I don’t know if she is able to now or not. Whenever I talk to her she is either having delusions or is agitated.
