HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!!!!
After a well... uneventful holiday break it's now the new year. Goodbye 2006, hello 2007.
I spent the bulk of my holiday break staying up until 5 am and sleeping until 2 pm (much to the detriment of other people in the house, I forgot to open the door for our house cleaner so she didn't clean for that day). Watching Voyager DVDs pretty much made up my vacation, not that I'm complaining. I've gotten back to the fandom now it's like visiting old friends. I caught up with the Tenth Doctor and Torchwood episodes that I've missed. And heck I even found out that I do have some sort of work ethic after all.
Maybe it's because I didn't have much of a holiday spirit but even the new year's eve celebrations seemed kind of tame. Which is kind of sad since I managed to convince the dad to buy the more expensive fireworks so we'd have pretty fireworks that bloom and sparkle in the sky. Yes I'm that big of a dork. But because of the sheer number of smoke and the way way too loud fireworks some of the neighbors had, I had to retreat somewhere more or less asthma safe, also known as my aunt's garage.
The fireworks were pretty though I just wish I didn't have to cover my nose and mouth with a big handkerchief that didn't serve it's purpose anyway. The parents have always been weird about me and new year's smoke so I've been become somewhat weird about it too.
So now to the real purpose of this entry. I'm just going to pretty much copy everyone else who's posted their new year entries before me. Hehehe I can't even think originally.
What I did last year:
- Drove the CRV along Marcos Hwy for the first time and promptly hit another car
- Got my phone stolen in the least place I thought would happen
- Found out just how exactly hard it is to get new members
- Subsist on Php 100 for a week
- Be late in nearly every class I had and still manage to get a passable grade
- Get my first and my second 5, hopefully those would be last *crossfingers*
- Witness UPDS grab the National title
- Finally become CS
What I hope to accomplish (and fully wish I won't break):
- Clean my room and hopefully find my bed again underneath all that mess
- Finish (and understand!) the books and essays I'm assigned to read
- Get up and exercise, because God knows I can't even lift my leg in high ala second anymore
- Learn how to focus
- Stop bugging and generally be a brat in the family
- Get a license
- Stop being late... otherwise known as sleep earlier, wake up earlier, take a bath faster
Well, here's to hoping I can at least cross 3 of the things above. Just three.
Cheers!
