So Inconvenient

So our house now has DSL, but I'm not celebrating. Since we don't have a router yet, the DSL is only connected through the mom's lap top. Meaning, that I the one that uses the internet the most, cannot avail of the DSL service. Unless I use the mom's lap top which is not fun, because it's so tiny I can barely see the words. No wonder the mom has really really bad eyesight.

What's more is that our dial-up has been greatly affected. I have a feeling that now the phone line not only has to contend with 2 other lines but also with broadband, the sending/receiving thing on dial-up has been severely crippled. I can't use the internet from my room. When I do, I get absolutely nowhere. You'd think dial-up was slow before try it now...

It's so inconvenient I swear. My dial-up sucks so I have to get used to CANNOT FIND SERVER. If I want to use the net without me going crazy, I have to lug my lap top to the mom's office. And that place is definitely not conducive to paper writing. At take note, that's dial-up. To use DSL I have to use the mom's lap top becaus apparently according to the kuya, it's not installed in Toshi.

And the 'rents totally do not get my dillema. As in no sense of others pa ang pamilya ko. I was telling them over dinner that it's going to be hard for me not to use the internet because much of my schooling depends on it. The mom goes, "But who needs it to make money?" Of course I answer, "But who needs it to 1) pass her schoolwork, 2) graduate on time and get a job that pays (or not but hey), 3) communicate with groupmates and 4) fulfill her obligations in school?" Yeah mom you do need it to make money, but when compared I have more at stake without the internet. I told the family that a router is very important or else.

Damn it!

argness!
