I care about what's happening to our country right now. Really I do, how could I not? I'm probably the only person my age and younger who still remembers what EDSA 1 did for us. Of course over the years what it did for us went down the drain. But how could I forget when every birthday you've ever had you're paranoid if you will still celebrate another year in your country. If only I hadn't become apathetic since my entrance into UP (something about this university I swear that makes you take a backseat from politics), I would've been out there too, in a more secure area of course, after all I am panicky in large crowds with blood in their minds. Funnily enough the mom went to Ayala to join the protesters. Was worried she'd get arrested or something.
But hey... it is in times like these that we should always have something to take our minds of all the shit in our lives. Presenting....
The Remedios AIDS Foundation will hold a fundraising/premiere of the movie version of Rent on Thursday, March 9 at 8 pm in Robinson's Movie World Galleria. Tickets are at PhP 300, contact me if you want to watch. And so don't ask me for comps, I'm paying for my own ticket. According to the mom, it is after all a fundraiser.
Let's forget about ourselves for awhile and watch as friends "measure their lives in love" and wade through the AIDS epidemic. Shet, ang charot. Basta, lovers of the musical let's go and watch. Sing along to the songs. Come on, I know you've got them memorized too. I refuse to be the only Rent geek I know.
And speaking of musicals, when can we watch Zsazsa ze Muzical??? I am dying to see how Eula is as Zsazsa. Frens, let's goooooo!!!!
ETA: Sooooo belated!!!
Happy 2nd anniversary my darlin' LJ!!!!
