ISU World's Men's Short Program 09
Sorry flist, for the next few days I might be talking all about figure skating, so um, brace yourself.
I was supposed to watch the Russian feed last night to at least see part of the Men's SP but my net at home became snaily so that was kind of impossible. Instead it was back to trusty ol' GoldenSkate forums, stayed up until 2 am just for it hahaha. And well, I should be working but well yeah.
Anyway, Philippines first.
Michael Dimalanta* *sigh*, will be better I hope. Did not make it to the Free Skate sadly. Posters said that his sit spin was high, and as a huuge Lambiel fan, I like sit spins that go down there. Maybe he needs to work with a more famous coach, I mean Gracielle Tan** and Mary Baldo*** have pretty good spins under Frank Carrol**** (at least I think Tan is coached by Carrol, I ain't sure).
On to the others then.
Unlike many fans (and this made me think that ALL fandoms are alike, insane and irrational) I actually like Patrick Chan****. Because it is his not his fault that he's overscored. He just has amazing skating skills. But OMG, he wuzrobbed! 3rd? Only 3rd? I mean Joubert****** can jump sure, but over Chan. *sigh*
Evan Lysacek*******, oh Evan. I'm rooting for you because Johnny said so. And well, because you're one of the old gays guys and I want redemption for you and Johnny. So yay that you're second, now medal, get 3 spots then kiss Johnny on the lips. Y/Y?
And oh... Jeremy Abbot******** very sad for you. Nerves? Shake it off, because I really thought he was going to be the second American to secure 3 spots, but oh well.
Ladies is next. Gooo Yuna!!!!!
