Makarma ka sana

I love Christmas but Christmas shopping gets to me.

Especially when assholes steal your iPod, recorder and USB drive.

Yes some asshole opened my bag in Greenhills while I was shopping with the mom. Take note that I was taking all the precaution but crowds swallowed me and my bag that I never noticed someone open the zipper and take the little bag with all my audio equipment in it. Thank God I was wearing my cell phone around my neck and hid my wallet deep inside my bag.

I'm okay now, mostly because I've gone through the same thing before. My music and videos are safe thanks to iTunes. But my articles and PDF stats in the USB and my interviews in the recorder are gone. The interviews are super super important. All the recordings of press cons and interviews I need just in case something happens. Worst of all, I kind of need the recordings for my stories tomorrow.

So really whoever stole my stuff, I don't care if you don't have a job but I hope you get yours.

What the hell are you going to do with shit about the global financial crisis anyway? And I doubt you'd appreciate Johnny Weir's skating.

The mom was kind of freaking out when she saw my bag opened. She even said that she didn't feel like shopping anymore despite the overwhelming need to finish all the shopping. The dad was actually pretty cool. He just reminded me how hard the times were and said that he was glad I wasn't panicking and taking the whole thing somewhat coolly. I have the feeling that the mom just never really let it sink in that people have stolen her children's stuff, stuff that she paid for.

Anyway, it's a good thing that iPod Nano 3Gs go for around P4,000 these days and that the recorder is around P2,000. That I can afford on my own. Of course it's money away from buying my netbook but I need a recorder for work.

Ahh Christmas.

holidays, bad day
