Assholes
So I couldn't sleep, so I got up and was reading to try and get sleepy... Neil came out and checked on me when he realized I wasn't in bed. I told him that I would go to bed when I was tired enough for it (it was like 3 am). A little while later I heard a loudish car outside and I normally listen for loud vehicles because that usually means that matt is here. I didn't pay much attention to the car, and then I heard a loud thump or popping sound. I got up and looked outside and I saw 2 guys in the parking lot near one of my neighbors cars. One of them was holding something that looked like a snowboard in his hand, and he was walking away from the a car in the lot. I guess he noticed me looking at him cuz he hurried over to his friends car which was parked weirdly in the middle of the driving area and hopped inside. They didn't turn on their lights, and the driver punched the gas and took off out of the parking lot. The behavior was so weird that I forgot about the popping noise for a second and I just kind of looked around in the lot. I guess it sprinkled a little bit at some point because all of the cars had some rain on the windows, but one car looked really weird. I stared at it for a while until I realized that the back window was broken out. So I got on my phone and reported the break in. The officer showed up at around 330 and I went out to tell her what I saw. I'm officially not tired again... bummer...
