Oh How Sweet It Is
OK, so Kat the Urchin, Tina the College Roomie of Kat and yours truly, Mum of Kat have all more or less recovered from Kat's arrival. So how do we celebrate this ? We go to the movies ! Wednesday evening had us all in Culpeper to see Eragon. Why Culpeper you ask ? Because Culpeper has semi-arena seating and a cool sound system in its theater, plus folks in Culpeper are just plain politer than the C'ville movie going crowd. Tina and I had waited until Kat got here for this movie, it being a fantasy novel we had all read and all. Well Hollywood dropped the ball on this one. Computer graphics do not a movie make. It takes dialog and character development along with a reasonable story line. This was sort of like Kingdom of Heaven, good costumes and some good acting but overall a poorly told story. A real disappointment here folks. Quite frankly we had more fun in the antique store we walked through waiting for our movie time than we did at the movie. Dude, Happy Feet was a cooler movie !
