So I just read that there's a slight possibility of a theatrical release of Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, which has grown from the originally intended hour length to more than ninety minutes. This is obviously very exciting, and I'm all for it, but I'd hate for it to flop like Square's last big screen outing. I wouldn't worry about it sinking the company, because if a game company can survive the FF:TSW flop it can survive anything, but I do worry about Yoshinori Kitase. He's heading up all the FFVII spinoffs including the movie, and he was the main man behind Final Fantasy VII, VIII, and X. Losing the series creator was bad enough...I'd hate to lose one of its other important creative minds.
In any case, I'm getting kind of excited for Advent Children despite my hesitation around any sort of continuance of Final Fantasy VII, which was the best gaming experience of my life.
If you haven't noticed, I'm back into my rpg obsession after a nice long hiatus, and I must say it's a nice place to be. On a related note: Tales of Symphonia is great fun.
In other news, I enjoy improving the quality of life. We've been doing just that all day today, whether it be by cleaning up around here or buying shelving units to help us get more organized. I like it!
Yeah, it's a boring entry but I haven't updated in a while and this is pretty much what's going on with me right now. I'm adjusted to my new position at borders and can honestly say that despite the nasty coffee snob customers I love it. Other than that, life is simple and uneventful but quite, quite pleasant. An edit of my novel should be in order soon. I can't wait.
