Life Experience

So, last night I almost my entire family to watch my favorite movie of the past year, 2046. It's a foreign film by Wong Kar Wai that defies description. But I *can* say it's the most beautiful thing I've seen or heard in a long time. It's the third time I've seen it since it in the past few months. And I am NOT the kind of person who watches movies that many times. There are too many new ones to rewatch old ones; and usually by that time some element, either the directing, the acting or the design gets on my nerves. But not 2046. This is one of those lovely ones that you don't entirely get the first time and that blows you away in a different way each time.

If you want a taste, see the website: www.wkw2046.com

I don't know what else to say except that it's a once in a lifetime film experience. Don't miss it.

I'm packing. I'm deciding what to bring to Spain, cause tomorrow I leave Evanston.

Reading list:
*Doctor Zhivago
*Brothers Karamozov
*A People's History of the United States
*a collection of short stories by Isabel Allende (in Spanish)
*a collection of the best modern short stories

I'm also bringing my guitar. I also am bringing travel books for all of Europe.

I'm also bringing a family tree. :) Wanna guess how many cousins I have? About 29.
